What is Promise?
Promise is an AI follow-through assistant that helps you see what you owe, what you are waiting on, and the original context in Gmail, Outlook, and voice notes.
What does Promise Plus help me do?
Free includes useful AI for selected messages and reply drafts, plus ordinary mail. Message analysis and reply drafts share an AI allowance; mail storage is separate. Promise Plus adds more AI capacity. It helps you catch new commitments, see what you are waiting on, and return to the original context before deciding what to do. Usage limits apply, but using up AI does not stop ordinary reading or manual replies.
How much mail history does Promise store?
Free mail storage uses a rolling window of 6 calendar months, separate from your AI allowance. Mail history controls are not available yet. The recent storage window still applies. The window is a policy limit, not proof that every message has been imported. Older stored messages may remain pending a separately approved cleanup.
Does buying Plus import all my old mail?
No. Older mail storage requires server-verified Plus access and an explicit range choice in Mail history when the controls are available. Your choice applies to the mailboxes currently connected to your Promise account when you apply. New connections start with recent mail until you explicitly apply again. Buying Plus alone does not import all history. Queued work is not completed import, and searching mail stored in Promise is not a search of all older provider mail.
What happens to history if I downgrade?
New work on mail outside the allowed window stops. Your existing notes and promises are retained. Existing older stored mail requires separate approval before cleanup; selecting a shorter range or changing plans is not approval to delete it. A billing verification problem is not permission to delete.
Does changing mail history need more provider access?
No additional Gmail or Outlook permissions are requested by the history controls. If existing access expires or is revoked, use the existing Reconnect action to renew it. Provider links for older mail leave Promise; check the mailbox you are signed into there.
Who is Promise for?
Promise is for people who care about relationships and follow-through but do not want to maintain another inbox or manual task list.
Which services does Promise support?
Promise supports connected Gmail and Outlook accounts, and voice-note capture for thoughts you want remembered.
Can Promise send email for me?
Promise can help draft responses, but it does not send email without your review and explicit confirmation.
How is Promise different from a task manager?
A task manager depends on manual entry. Promise detects possible commitments from conversations and preserves evidence behind the reminders it surfaces.
Is my private content used to train public AI models?
The Promise Privacy Policy states that private content is not used to train shared or public AI models.
Is Promise available now?
Promise is an early product. Availability may change as Gmail, Outlook, voice capture, and subscription access are rolled out.
What does Promise cost?
Promise Plus is $19.99 per month. Subscribe or restore in the iOS app through Apple; the App Store shows your local price and subscription terms before you confirm a purchase. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your App Store settings.
