Promise
Terms of Service
These terms describe the agreement between you and Promise when you access or use the service.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, connecting a service, or otherwise using Promise, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you use Promise for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use Promise.
2. The service
Promise helps you capture, find, and follow through on information from communications and content you choose to connect or submit. Features may include email synchronization, voice-note capture, search, reminders, summaries, commitments, relationship context, drafting, and other AI-assisted tools.
Promise is evolving. We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features, and beta or preview features may change without notice.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that you have the right to connect accounts and submit content to Promise.
You authorize Promise to access connected services only within the permissions you grant. You may revoke a connection through the provider or available Promise settings.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit or connect. You grant Promise a limited, non-exclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, derive information from, and display that content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the service for you.
You are responsible for your content and must have all permissions needed for Promise to process it. These terms do not give Promise ownership of your private communications.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Promise to:
- violate law, privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights;
- access accounts or information without authorization;
- distribute malware or conduct phishing, spam, fraud, or harassment;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security or usage controls;
- reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it; or
- use automated means to scrape or resell the service without written permission.
6. AI-assisted output
AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. Similar inputs may produce similar outputs for different users. Promise attempts to preserve supporting evidence where useful, but an extracted task or statement is not proof that an event occurred or an obligation exists.
Review important output before relying on it or sending it to someone else. Promise is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or emergency advice. You remain responsible for decisions and actions based on the service.
7. Third-party services
Promise interoperates with third-party products such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and AI or infrastructure providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable. Promise is not responsible for third-party products outside its control.
8. Fees
Some features may be free, limited, or offered as a preview. If paid plans are introduced, pricing, included usage, renewal, taxes, and cancellation terms will be disclosed before you purchase. We will not charge you without authorization.
9. Intellectual property
Promise and its software, design, branding, and documentation are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback may be used without restriction or obligation to you.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Promise at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, address nonpayment, or enforce these terms. We may terminate an account for a material or repeated violation.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions.
11. Service availability and disclaimers
We work to keep Promise reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or loss-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Promise will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Consumer rights that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Promise changes. We will update the date above and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
